A French-Polish ensemble founded by Sébastien Beliah, a French double bassist living in Warsaw. He was joined by two outstanding French jazz improvisers, Pierre Borel (saxophone) and Louis Laurain (trumpet), as well as a talented singer and bass drummer Olga Kozieł. This connection, that crosses traditional boundaries gave rise to an extraordinary style, blending together energetic jazz improvisation with the power of Polish dance music. The band received the Grand Prix of the Folk Music Competition at the 22nd Polish Radio Folk Festival “New Tradition” 2019 for their “free, bold, imaginative and sensitive interpretation of musical tradition”.
