Ahlberg, Ek & Roswall (Sweden)
Ahlberg, Ek & Roswall, with its dazzling interplay, imaginative arrangements and carefully selected repertoire, has established itself as one of the most exciting and popular acts on today’s folk scene. The trio has achieved great success around the world in recent years and has made a success of several of the largest folk music festivals. The band offers a swinging and virtuosic interplay that invites both listening and dancing. The repertoire is based on traditional Swedish tunes from regions of Skåne and Medelpad, as well as their own compositions. Members of the group are award-winning musicians associated with artists such as Sofia Karlsson, Göran Månsson Band or Ranarim group.
AER have released 4 albums so far. The premiere of their 4th album – Till dans was in April of this year. The CD contains mainly the group’s dance repertoire, based on the musicians’ favourite traditional melodies.
